Date published 01 Dec 2017 Members of Perth's marketing community raised a glass to another successful year for Metrix Consulting at the State Buildings last night. In this iconic setting, guests were treated to drinks and canapés, with a backdrop of music played on the venue's see-through piano (something that has to be seen to be believed!). There were plenty of reasons to celebrate, with Metrix expanding its client base in 2017 to include organisations such as St John of God Health Care, Public Transport Authority, Fini Group and Vocus Communications. Momentum for the Perth-born marketing insights and strategy firm has continued over on the east coast in the past year. The Melbourne office added clients such as Treasury Wine Estates and Bakers Delight to an already impressive portfolio of brands including Woolworths, The Good Guys and Crown Resorts. There are also plans for further expansion beyond the Melbourne market into Sydney, with the recent appointment of Darren Olliffe to lead the charge in New South Wales. Another reason to celebrate is the launch of Metrix's first off-the-shelf big data product in the second half of the year. Big data products are a focus area for the organisation as marketers seek to find new and better ways to access and leverage big data. The first product to go to market provides insights that can inform marketing strategies for regional tourism destinations, and it is the first of many big data products to come. "We're really excited to be celebrating another successful year in which we've helped clients across the country to make more effective marketing decisions," said Metrix Managing Director, Marquis Pohla. (below top right) "We thank all our clients and partners for their ongoing support and are looking forward to another big year in 2018, as we continue to complement our traditional offering with new and innovative research approaches."
