Date published 21 Jul 2021 We sat down with Imogen Roberts, Senior Account Manager at Metrix Consulting, for the latest in our Take 5 series. The thing that excites me the most about being a research expert is investigating a problem; really unpacking that problem and working to solve it. I’m always most interested in the customer and how we can make life easier for them. I’m currently working on some customer journey mapping and brand tracking projects, along with some research for a new brand territory. There are in-depth interviews, focus groups and quantitative surveys. I really enjoy the variety in my work. I’m currently reading American Dirt by Jeanine Cummins but that’s quite a heavy book so I’m also reading The Girl Who Chased the Moon by Sarah Addison Allen when I need something lighter. I always have two books on the go. They’re usually both fiction, although I have been reading some autobiographies recently. My favourite place to be is Rottnest. It’s where we always went on holiday as kids, and now I go there with my husband and our daughter. It’s just such a great place to spend time together. Do I think pineapple belongs on a pizza? Definitely not. Pizza is my favourite food, partly because I went to Italy and loved the food there, and partly because you could have pizza every night of the week and it could be so different each time.
